Gleb is 4 and has Down syndrome. He lives in Ukraine with his mother. When he was diagnosed with Down yndrome, his father left him and his mother, and they haven't heard from him since. He just had his third heart surgery and needs to take Warfarin* daily to prevent blood clots forming.
He needs Maya's Hope's help to purchase a coagulometer and test strips. The coagulometer measures INR. International normalized ratio (INR) is a measurement of how long it takes blood to form a clot. They will then know what dose of Warfarin he needs. Without this machine, he would have to go get blood drawn from a vein each week, rather than just a finger prick at home.
We need $1400 to fully fund his medical needs.
How did we find him? Our partner in Eastern Ukraine finds families at local hospitals who are in dire need of financial assistance to help with medical needs so that these families can continue to provide the best care for their children.
Let's keep families together, where children belong.
