The (Non-Profit) Medford Health Matters COVID-19 Response Fund will support Medford’s Board of Health (BOH) and the City of Medford’s Are you ok? initiatives. These initiatives support seniors and other vulnerable populations who have been stressed by the outbreak; and families and households who are directly impacted by COVID- 19 and unable to get provisions due to quarantine protocols.
These funds will be given directly to the City of Medford Board of Health (via a grant) to provide provisions, medicines, and personal/heath care items that cannot otherwise be acquired by these vulnerable neighbors.
Medford Health Matters will implement and adapt goals for the COVID-19 Response Fund as the situation evolves and as community members and nonprofits in our region share their needs and as conditions change throughout the pandemic.
Donations will be collected via GoFundMe or personal check. Individual recipients will have the opportunity to reimburse the fund if they are able, but will not be required to do so.
Medford Health Matters will grant the Medford BOH with $1,000 to begin and issue additional grants as the need is identified with agreement of three board members who are not members of the BOH.
Medford Health Matters will retain 10% of the fund for administrative and overhead expenses.
