So... for years I have been knocking off bucket lists races after discovering running late in life. From 5k's to my first half to finally knocking off that first full. And then swearing never to do it again. Along the way, running has become a passion and a source of replenishment.
And along the way, watching the exploits of Meb as he conquered races, won Boston and competed in the Olympics has been an inspiration. In all, Meb's books and life have been along for the journey. From New York , to Chicago, to Big Sur, each of the marathon experiences has been epic and unique. But there was always Boston.
Every runners bucket list has Boston at the top and it has always been the one that is out there for me. As a persistent, but not super fast runner, it felt like an unreachable goal. But I'm happy to have now been selected to be a part of Team Meb running to benefit his new foundation on April 19th, 2020 through the steets of Boston. It's going to happen!!!!
I'm privileged to be a small part of Meb's new endeavor in retirement to bring health, fitness and wholeness to youth as part of his foundation! Everyone who contributes to this monumental will be accompanying me on that day in spirit. Thanks so much for contributing to this experience and this amazing cause.
