Hi there! I am ecstatic to be running the Boston Marathon for the first time this spring! I am very happy to represent the MEB Foundation, and I am extremely thankful that they offered me to be a part of their team.
I have been running since I was nine; I remember running my first race in my local town with my father when I was around that age. Since then, I ran cross country all through high school (even captaining the team my final two seasons), and I walked onto the cross country team at Emerson College my freshman year before transferring to Boston University for my sophomore year where I am a member of their running club on campus.
The MEB Foundation supports programs and events that empower youth and their families to “Maintain Excellent Balance”, provide the tools and resources to lead healthy lifestyles, engage children in academics, in and out of school hours, provide opportunities for children to play and learn positive life skills through involvement in sports, and engage entire communities in promoting youth health, education and fitness.
I hope to help the upcoming generations of young athletes, and to provide them with the education that they need in and out of school.
I look forward to the journey of joining the MEB Foundation team, and I would appreciate any support in helping me to reach my goal of $8,500.
