The students around Forest Knolls Elementary School in Silver Spring, MD, have been severely affected by Covid-19. Many have families that have become sick and those and others have lost their jobs and are struggling greatly. While there are some programs assisting these families, it is not enough.
Two local restaurants, Holy Chow and Ben Yehudah have stepped up and have offered to make meals for these families free of cost. All these establishments have asked is that we provide them the funds in order to buy the ingredients. This pandemic can go on for months and these two organizations have dedicated themselves to stick with us no matter how long it takes.
As of now, we have over 400 people in need of meals.
Many thanks to Forest Knolls ES teacher, Adam Faleder, who is spearheading this incredible initiative, and to the generous vendors, Ben Yehuda Pizza and Holy Chow.
Kehilat Pardes - The Rock Creek Synagogue is honored to host this campaign, and 100% of the funds raised will be dedicated to this project.
