Why Support Meal Pack
Most people are surprised to learn that Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. It is at the bottom of the developing world. In Haiti there is a significant food crisis that continues to grow each day. Three years ago, we began to learn more about Haiti and the needs that are present there. We visited. We listened. And we learned.
Many children in Haiti will not eat today. But we’re doing our small part. And this is where you can come alongside our efforts to defeat hunger in Haiti.
Join us as we team with Numana, an international hunger relief organization, that hosts meal packing events to assemble teams and pack meals. In March, we will come together with our local partner schools to support Mission of Hope (that directly helps our partner school in Zoranje, Haiti).
Learn & Build Community
While this event helps feed children overseas, it also helps build our community. In this Meal Pack event, children and their families actively engage the problem of hunger while also building unity, facilitating leadership skills, and becoming educated about hunger issues in other countries.
Two years ago we packed 50,000 meals. Last year we packed 60,000 meals - that was enough to feed our partner school for an entire year. This March we want to pack 90,000 meals!
