Hi my name is McKenna I am 12 years old almost 13! I was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis (hard word to say!) in August of 2016. At first I thought I had poision ivy on my hands. Then the rash spread more and more.
Now I have to take a lot of medicine and I dont always remember to take it...Whoops! One of my medicines is a shot! I do not like my shot!! I have a really really nice doctor her name is Dr. Correll.
I really like horse back riding. I also like gymnastics and taking pictures. I am in piano and play the flute. I also looove animals! I want to be a vet someday.
I have a big family, Mom and Dad, JoJo, Jim, 3 brothers and one sister. I have three dogs named Lola, Lexi and Sadie.
My hope is that one day there can be a cure for my disease. There are a lot of kids out there that need your help.
Can't wait to see you at the walk!
