JA of North Central Michigan serves students in eighteen counties in Michigan including the Great Lakes Bay Region. As a member of the Midland/Bay/Saginaw Board of Directors, I would like to respectfully request support for JA Programs in our area schools.
Our grade-specific programs teach K-12th grade students entrepreneurism, work readiness and financial literacy through hands-on lessons taught by local business volunteers in the classroom. Our programs address many of the issues facing Michigan and our region; the skills gap, the soft skills needed to succeed in the workplace, the entrepreneurial mindset required to keep our economy vibrant, the importance of reliability/accountability and the importance of believing in yourself.
With our strong partnership between business and education we expect to reach over 9,500 students in the Great Lakes Bay Region during the 2019-20 academic year. JA programs are tried and tested, impacting youth for over 68 years locally and over 100 years nationally.
Contributions made throughout this campaign will be used to support programs in the community in which the funds were raised.
Thank you for your support!
