Maysoun Geizer is a 20-year Registered Respiratory Therapist, 16 of which at the University of Tennessee Medical Center where she specializes in Neonatal Intensive care and adult critical care. She works closely with Alzheimer’s patients and their families and sees firsthand the challenges the disease brings to their lives and families.
She is an avid cyclist and runner and finds that an active lifestyle will keep her mentally and physically healthy. She has completed a variety of endurance events including multiple ultra marathons and multi-day cycling events. Also, she has raced amateur road racing for five years with the accomplishment of Road State Champion in 2016.
In 2019, Pedal for Alzheimer’s began the Ambassador program and Maysoun became an inaugural organization Ambassador. She now joins the team as a Purple Team cyclist to carry the mission and pedal to help raise funds for research, support, education and care.
Maysoun’s family is very familiar with Alzheimer’s disease. Her grandfather lived with Alzheimer’s for many years and she is honored to ride in honor of him to raise money for research.
