Thank you for checking out my fundraising page! As many of you know my passion of working with individuals in need of prosthetic devices started when I was a freshman in High School. I have made this dream a reality as I am now working on completing my Master's of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics. I have completed all of my didactic learning and I am now out in the field completing my residencies. Upon finishing these 18 months of unpaid residencies, I will graduate from Baylor College of Medicine in December of 2019.
I have been given the opportunity to travel to Guatemala to provide prosthetic care to those in need of prosthetic care, but first I need your help!
Range Of Motion Project, helps us with fundraising opportunities like this one to help raise money and awareness for these types of trips. If I raise $1,500, I will be able to go on this amazing trip and provide the prosthetic care to individuals in need of prosthetic devices. The $1,500 solely goes to the materials needed to provide amputees with the opportunity to receive a prosthesis that they otherwise would not be able to receive because of cost and resources. If I surpass this goal of $1,500 then the rest of the proceeds with go towards my flight to Guatemala so that I can provide prosthetic care to these individuals. Any additional funds after that will go back to the organization itself or will help a fellow classmate with their journey!
Throughout the week we are there, we will put our skills to use to provide our best care to deliver prostheses and training to those in need. It would mean so much to be able to give back to the O&P community and help those that do not have the opportunities to receive prosthetic care, like they do in other areas of the world. Thank you for allowing me to pay it forward by providing care to those in need of prosthetic care!
