Range Of Motion Project NFP -
This program gives volunteers the opportunity to work alongside ROMP-Guatemala staff to provide care to Guatemalans with amputation and to exchange best-practices in prosthetic care and physical and occupational therapy. Volunteers will put their skills into action, taking a group of patients from evaluation and casting to delivery and training in an intense clinical week in Zacapa.

As many of you know, I have recently graduated with a DPT and become licensed to practice as a physical therapist. I have been serving as a traveling physical therapist based out of upstate NY! I've always had an immense passion to serve underserved locations, locally and globally and can't wait to be volunteering with ROMP in Guatemala.
"ROMP’s mission is to provide high quality prosthetic care in underserved populations, which enhances mobility and unlocks human potential"
Ever since I began studying PT, I've dreamed of combining my physical therapy practice, Spanish language and cultural knowledge together to help people internationally. I am BEYOND EAGER to learn from the prothetists, other medical professionals, and the Guatemalan team while on this opportunity. I amazed with how this experience has helped me to grow professionally and personally empowering them with mobility and improved quality of life with new prosthetic limbs.
Any monetary donation you're willing to offer will help fund my participation in this amazing work in Guatemala. I had the privilege to work with individuals with amputations as they received prosthesic care (many for the very first time since amputation!) to improve mobility, functional independence, and quality of life. I hope you can support my work as a PT in Guatemala as well as the work of ROMP to provide high-quality prosthetic care to underserved individuals.
The cost of the trip is $1,500 which covers materials used for prosthetic devices, lodging, local transportation, and meals. If by your generosity I raise passed this goal, any additional funds will help pay for airfare not covered in the program fees. Beyond that donations will go to the organization itself.
Thank you for your support!
