Hello:
My name is Max Weber. I am 12 years old and have been playing Little League baseball in Berlin, CT since I was 5. This will be my 3rd year playing with the Brewers, and my last year playing Little League. I also play with an AAU Travel Baseball Team called Northeast Clutch. I have played with the "clutch" since I was 9 years old, and my team mates are like brothers to me. Not only do my coaches help me be a better baseball player, they make baseball a lot of fun for me and my team mates. I am a "lefty. I pitch, play first base and right field. Basically, I go wherever my coaches tell me to go. I enjoy it all. When I started thinking about my Mitzvah project, of course I thought of finding something that involved baseball. My mom and I did some research and we found Pitch in For Baseball (PIFB). I think this is a perfect fit for me because I love baseball so much, and I would like to help children that are not as lucky as me. I didn't realize that so many families don’t have money to buy baseball equipment and so many places don't have money for baseball fields and the equipment needed to start a team. So I thought kids in the world should be able to play baseball just like me.
Not only am I asking you to help me by raising money, I am also working with my town's Little League and asking all the baseball families in Berlin to donate baseball equipment that they don't need. I will be packing it all up and sending to PIFB. I understand that not everyone has baseball equipment, so am asking you to please donate money to PIFB. This money will help PIFB buy new equipment for children in under-priviledged areas.
i know I may be asking for a lot, so I'll keep going. Please share this link with anyone else you think would want to help. My goal is to raise $1,000.00 so they can play the game that I love so much!
Thank you for helping me reach my goal.
Max
