As mentioned in the video we are running the 9/11 promise run. This is a 240-mile team relay race from the Pentagon in Washington DC (Sep. 9th) to ground zero in New York City (Sep. 11th). All proceeds will go to scholarships for children of fallen first responders or military members.
I wanted to take the time here to expand a bit on the dynamic of our team. We are a 5-man wrecking crew out of Southern California. First, we have the brains of the operation – Chase Follmer. Banker by day and dad of the year by night. The Federal Reserve asks him for forecast 200 years in advance. The Looks – Chad Acerboni. He has crystal green eyes and is so smooth he CAN touch MC Hammer. The Brawn – Phil Narmada. This guy could run 240 miles on his own…with the whole team on his back. Luckily, he is letting us participate. The Wildcard – Justin Acerboni. Once he ordered a Big Mac at a Burger King... and he got it. His Insta handle: runningforacasue9_11. Finally, we have the great white buffalo – Justin Powers. A former marine turned fire fighter. I would love to see someone try and make this guy stop serving his country and his community. His mustache is one remarkable human.
As you can see, we come from all diverse backgrounds and have different superpowers. Outside of showers, we share one common thing together, our love for those who protect and serve this Country. Please take a minute and join us, as a team, in this truly remarkable opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives who truly deserve it. Our goal for this race is to raise $5000 for scholarships. Any donation, whether $10, $100, or $1000 is helpful. You are not only investing in someone else’s future, you are investing in yours as well.
