The biggest fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis in the entire state of Alaska, the Lost Lake Run is an event as big as the state itself. It is a 16 mile US Forest trail with not-so-forgiving elevation gain/loss, but Kellyann's favorite route and favorite view of our hometown of Seward.
The first year of The Lost Lake Run there were 55 participants. Today, the US Forest Service permit allows 750 runners on the trail on race day. The online fundraiser sells out within 5 minutes, making it one of the more popular mountain races in Alaska. Since its beginning, this race has raised over $2 million dollars for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
This year, Major Marine has put together a company team, and Tom Tougas is donating half of our fundraising efforts. We are running with a team of employees at Major Marine Tours. We want to run this race as a way to get more involved in the community and help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis in the State of Alaska. Help usreach our goal here.
