Back in 2012, my good friend Craig Norris and I participated in our first swim across Tampa Bay in support of the Navy SEAL Foundation. Eight years later, we continue our quest to give back to the brave men, women and families this foundation supports.
Craig and I will be competing in the 11th Annual Tampa Bay Frogman Swim this coming January. We will be racing alonside 175 teams from all over the country and hope to continue our now 7-year streak as Military Division Champs.
Even more important than finishing with a great time, this 5K race across the Bay raises crucial funds for The Navy SEAL Foundation. The Foundation stands behind all U.S. Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, Naval Special Warfare support personnel, and their spouses and children. The Foundation coordinates closely with Naval Special Warfare Command to support critical needs of active-duty operators while also providing resources for NSW veterans. Their incredible work is focused on three key areas: family services and command support, educational programs, and legacy activities.
The proceeds from the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim will be used to provide injury assistance to Navy SEALs and tragedy assistance for families who have lost a loved one in training or combat.
Please find it in your hearts to help us raise funds for this outstanding Foundation and the true American Warriors it supports.
