Help Miramonte High School support sports & recreation programs for children and youth with physical disabilities!
Miramonte High School's Basketball Program is raising funds to support youth programs at BORP (Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program). BORP is a Bay Area nonprofit organization that provides a comprehensive menu of adaptive sports & recreation programs for children, youth and adults with disabilities. Each year, they serve over 1,000 participants.
Kids with physical disabilities often have few opportunities to participate in team sports or outdoor recreation. BORP gives them those opportunities through its programs in wheelchair basketball, sled hockey, adaptive cycling, adaptive climbing, outdoor adventures, and other activities.
As a result, youth with disabilities gain the many benefits that come from participation in sports and recreation, including improved health and fitness, increased self-confidence, better social connections, and improved academic performance in school.
Please support this campaign so that more young people with disabilities can experience the joys and benefits of sports and recreation!
