Welcome to my fundraising page!
I am honored and thrilled to once again be running the Boston Marathon for MGH!
Three years ago, I decided to join the Pediatric Oncology Team. I wanted to help those impacted by cancer. I met so many incredible people and was paired up with a patient at the hospital, then three-year-old Mira.
The training was hard. And cold. I got used to running through rain, sleet and even heat. I developed a hatred for hills and realized there’s actually not a lot of Band-Aids that come in each box. I found out it’s possible to have your feet go numb but to still move them and that after a 16-mile training run, even taking a sip of water seems impossible.
But for each cold run, or ache I felt, I thought about the kids at MGH. I thought about Mira and her family. I thought about how each day was hard for them but they still had this unwavering positivity. Their strength pushed me. Three years ago, I decided to run because I wanted to help them, but actually, they helped me.
In 2017, with your help, we raised more than $10,400 for MGH’s Pediatric Oncology Team. Let’s do it again.
This year, in memory of Mira.
