December, 2015 I began, what I thought was going to be, my one and only marathon journey. Here I am 4 years and 7 marathons later about to begin the jorney for the 8th time! Its true, what they say, you get the "itch." Boston, however, is something in and of if itself. There's something truly special about the whole process of running the Boston marathon. I've been fortuate enough and honored to be a part of the Mass General Pediatric Oncology team, helping to raise money for the little ones and their families. Not only does the money raised by myself and my teammates help find a cure, but it also allows MgH to fund programs to help the children and their families cope with difficult times. I've said it before, and I will continue to say it, one of the most humbling parts on race day is getting to see and hear those who are well enough come and cheer runners on, at mile 20 might I had. Nothing like a little motivation to push you up heartbreak hill! I am so looking forward to this training journey and want to say thank you in advance to those who are willing to donate! Any bit counts, and like we like to say, ITS FOR THE KIDS!
