As many of you know I ran the 2018 Boston Marathon for Nancy, a friend of mine who at that time had been fighting with cancer. Next April I will run the Boston Marathon again for all those who are faced with this diagnosis: Nancy’s sister, my good friend Jodi, and many other brave men, women and children who are not giving up!
I have been training very hard since October and preparing for the race, but I can’t succeed alone. I need your help to reach and hopefully exceed my fundraising goal of $10,000. I am counting on the support of my family and friends to not only finish the race, but also to raise the critical funding needed to help fight childhood cancer. I am honored to run for the MGH Pediatric Oncology unit.
The funds raised by the Mass General Marathon Team go directly to the MassGeneral Hospital for Children and help support clinical and laboratory research on childhood cancer, as well as supportive care programs including wellness services like art and music therapy; parent, teen and sibling support groups; and child life specialists who help patients cope with illness and treatment.
I will be updating my website with pictures and will try to journal my next couple of months. Please visit my site often to see/read my updates. This will be a happy but long and challenging couple of months! Come join me in my journey!
Please know that every person who donates to my cause I will carry in my heart while I run miles and miles to get ready for the most famous 2020 Boston Marathon!
