I am honored to be part of the Mass Eye & Ear 2020 Boston Marathon Team. Once a patient, I am thrilled to give back to Mass Eye & Ear and to support the team’s mission to find cures for blindness, deafness and diseases of the head and neck. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSHL), commonly known as sudden deafness, which is an unexplained, rapid loss of hearing. The tremendous work of Mass Eye and Ear and this Teams stories are my inspiration as well as funding research to find a cure for SSHL. Running Boston for the first time will not be easy but I am motivated to do this and be part of something life changing for others.
Thank you for supporting me in my efforts to raise $10,000 for Team Eye and Ear!
