While the debate continues around the world about the effectiveness of cloth masks against the Covid-19 virus, at the Tamarindo, we will continue our commitment to love, serve and respect the lives of each sister and brother around us by wearing masks.
Many argue about the percentage of Covid-19 deaths, reports estimate a range from .001 to 3.5% -- 893,000 deaths, with over 27.4 million cases worldwide. For our communities, each life, regardless of age or health condition, needs to be protected, cherished, and valued.
For us, wearing a mask in public is a small sacrifice to save a life. Our women's collective has made thousands of masks, which have been distributed by the Tamarindo, not only to our community of Guarjila but to other communities in our region.
These masks are made possible by you. Your donation will provide not only essential funds to make more masks, but also create much-needed income for our women artisans and their families.
Thank you for supporting our women's collective, and thank you for saving lives.
