After 35 years, we believe that people CAN save a river!
But it's an ongoing process. More than 700,000 people visit the Yuba each year. Sadly, not everyone treats it with respect.
For the past 20 years, SYRCL volunteers have collected nearly 220,000 pounds of garbage & recycling - and we're going to clean up the river once again on Saturday, September 15th.
By cleaning up the Yuba River, we'll be helping to save hundreds of wild animals -- river otters, turtles, salmon, ospreys and eagles -- from deadly human debris, like six pack rings, plastic bags, shards of glass, and other nasty garbage.
Please sponsor my day cleaning up the river -- your donation supports the annual River Cleanup and the River Ambassador program, too. Any amount is appreciated, but consider donating $35 in honor of SYRCL's 35th anniversary! #35for35
If you volunteer for the Cleanup Day on 9/15 too, please join me that afternoon to celebrate at Pioneer Park in Nevada City! There will be free food, live music, a refreshing beer garden and much more.
Let’s make this year's Annual Yuba River Cleanup the best yet. For the Yuba!
