2018 was a special year for the Packy McGowan and Joe Panatera families. Both families welcomed the birth of their newest additions, Marty and Reese, respectively, a month apart. Marty and Reese were born with Down Syndrome. This diagnosis brought the families and friends of Marty and Reese, both from the Southside, together with the single goal of supporting these two individuals by raising funds via established organizations.
Along with co-chairs Packy McGowan, Joe Panatera, Matt Hayes, and James Letz, Amy McGowan, Deanna Panatera, Paula Hayes, and Natacha Fahey welcome your support as we raise money for the 2019 Chicago Special Olympics Polar Plunge, which will take place on March 3, 2019.
Please support Marty and Reese's Warriors by donating or participating as a plunger on our team.
Thank you on behalf of the co-chairs of Marty and Reese's Warriors.
Join us for the 2019 Chicago Polar Plunge on Sunday, March 3rd. Take the challenge and jump in Lake Michigan for Special Olympics Chicago! All are welcome to join us, whether you go knee deep, waist high, or take the full plunge.
Be #FREEZINFORAREASON and support the 7,500+ special olympians who compete year-round in the city of Chicago. All funds raised will benefit the Special Olympics Chicago athletes, covering program costs such as transportation, sports equipment, team uniforms and food. Through your participation, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities and success.
Plunge as an individual alongside other supporters, join a team or create your own fearless team. Recruit friends, family and co-workers to #MAKEASPLASH. Teams with 20 members or more will be awarded for their efforts with a free, round-trip bus. All are invited to the post-plunge "Melt Down Party" with music, food, cash bar and more!
Make the #PolarPromise and register for the Chicago Polar Plunge today. See you Sunday, March 3rd, 2019!
