I was very depressed and suicidal at a very early age. At age 11, I wrote a suicide note which was discovered by a classmate. I no longer wanted to live and couldn’t find a good reason to go on. Immediately my parents and the school jumped in to intervene. That time period marked the beginning of my journey. There were ups and downs where I consistently felt that I was not worthy to live. With the help of professionals, intervention from my parents and family, I was able to rise above what seemed impossible. I am now 20 years old and knowing just how difficult it is to overcome mental illness, it is my hope that help could be given to as many people as possible. You never what someone is going through until you talk to them or check in on them. Please share.
