THE CONCEPT The goal of Battle of the Beards is to grow cancer awareness by growing out our hair, which many cancer patients lose, while competing against your peers to see who has the best chin wig. Become a Beard Ambassador and fundraise for breakthrough cancer research, educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and help those fighting the battle. Grow that hair out throughout the month of November, and we will be voting to see who can win “Best Beard” for our different beard categories! Who will be our top fundraiser? Have the fluffiest beard? The most unique beard? Most spirited?
GET INVOLVED Participate by growing your facial hair! If you're not ready to grow that facial hair out, sit back and support someone who is. Challenge a friend or family member to join in on the challenge as well!
THE RULES The rules of Battle of the Beards are simple: put down your razor for 30 days and fundraise for this great cause. Donate the money that you would spend on grooming, create a FB fundraiser, post a Venmo bingo board on your social media platforms, or even host a wacky fundraiser to help you hit your goal. Ladies! Partner up with your favorite hair growing man and help them become the reigning champion of Burlington!
EXTRA INFO Relayers- your fundraising efforts can go towards your Relay For Life fundraising goals. Just email Amanda at Amanda.Visco@cancer.org for the funds to get credited!
