Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Dryville PA, is seeking to enlist the surrounding community's support in assisting members of our congregation.
On Easter evening (April 4, 2021), the neighbor's home, immediately adjacent to the Smith's home, caught fire. Thankfully, no one in either home was hurt. The Smiths were taking Easter dinner to an elderly gentleman in our congregation at the time of the fire only to return to flames, smoke, and fiery carnage.
As a result of the neighbor's fire, due to the proximity of their home, the Smith's home was significantly damaged. Due to the restoration needed for their home, the Smiths will be out of their home for 4-6 months; anticipating all things come together exactly as planned. Our congregation is seeking to rally the community to assist this family in their time of need.
As we all know, no matter how good one's insurance is, it never covers everything. This is vehicle is to assist the community in helping a family through a catastrophic need.
All contributions made will be distributed to the Smith family as their needs arise.
