Marjorie's Love is dedicated to bridging the gap between senior nutrition and senior hunger.
Without the generosity of others, our grass roots foundation will find it difficult to complete our mission.
Our charitable foundation is dedicated to serving seniors in the Chicago Southland area which consist of parts of rural will county and southern part of suburban cook county. Cook county is the second largest populated county in the US. With our highly populated area, severe weather, complicated politics and economic situation seniors can find themselves struggling with the very basics to survive.
It is very disturbing to realize the enormity of the need that is not being met. We believe it to be our hope to all become a senior citizen someday, after all the alternative is, (not to).
The thought of so many of our seniors struggling with the decision to eat, buy medications or pay a bill is heartbreaking to say the least.
When you have spent your life working and paying taxes in the state of Illinois and/or raising a family to know that as you age there is a chance to go hungry. This is beyond disturbing.
Marjorie’s Love believes all seniors deserve to live with basic needs being met and respect. It is our goal to raise funds to provide shelf stable meals in case of bad weather as well as supporting local Meals on Wheels programs, Senior dining Cafes' and senior transportation as well as leading a campaign of awareness!
