I was looking for my next race (#5!) when I came across the MR8K, the first annual race set up by the Martin Richard Foundation. Martin Richard was the youngest victim of the Boston Marathon bombing in 2014. This race is a "Run for Gratitude" to recognize first responders for all they do everyday to help those in need, and is being held in partnership with the Boston Bruins Foundation and TD Garden.
Aside from being a cool race that has a finish line of Boston Bruins center ice, I thought I would use it as a chance to raise some money for the Boston Bruins Foundation (you can read below to find out all the great things they do), before race day on September 3rd.
Any contribution is greatly appreciated!
