In 2019, I had the opportunity to join 46 other RBC'ers from across the globe in Kenya, as part of the RBC Global Citizen Award, partnering with the WE organization. It was so empowering to see the strength of families, communities, and children in the Maasai Mara, as well as the strong need for water and education, as the most significant pillars of society in order to lead healthy and prosperous lives.
While we were there, as a group, we felt very strongly about the need to support these communities with the basic necessities, further contributing to creating a positive change, and connecting with purpose. As a result, today, I have joined many other colleagues who feel personally motivated and inspired, to take a step forward, to support the education and water pillar in Kenya, raising funds as part of iMaji-nation, a team inspired to raise funds for the drilling of a bore hole to allow access to clean drinking water and provide an endowment fund for two learners to attend school, earning their high school education.
Our collective goal of $250,000 US dollars is substantial. I know that with the right iMaji-Nation focus and support, as we learned while in Kenya, anything is possible.
Asante Sana and thank you for your generosity in advance.
