Hat's off to The Marfan Foundation runners who have taken on the challenge of the NYC TCS Marathon to benefit The Marfan Foundation. Our runners do not have a genetic aortic conditon; they are running to provide hope and support for those with connective tissue conditions who cannot participate in vigorous physical activity.
“Running the NYC Marathon was always on my bucket list, but I never thought it would become a reality. When our daughter was diagnosed with Marfan at 22 months of age, Bryan and I knew we had to get involved with the Marfan Foundation and community. We are so thankful to the Marfan Foundation for the opportunity to run the NYC Marathon for 3 years. Running in NYC is like nothing you will ever experience - the crowds and energy push you through, but thinking of our little girl and the challenges she will have ahead of her is motivation like no other!”
