I'm not from the athletes, so for those of you who know me, driving a half marathon would be an impressive feat- but I've decided to run a half marathon, crazy as that may sound. I'm doing it in honor of my Dad, Howard Dworkin, "Bucky", who died more than 13 years ago after a very long struggle with Parkinson Disease. It's a terrible, degenerative disease that robs its victims of their bodies and their minds and I hope not another father has to suffer the way my dad did. My dad was a great lover of life and of music. I miss him very much, and I hope that my running on November 4th, in some small part, will ease someone's suffering and potentially even bring us closer to a cure.
