Andy needs our help to get him back on all fours. This little pup was taken in by a local Animal Control when his family discovered that he lost the ability to use his back legs. They immediately contacted us for help and we couldn't say no. We brought him to a specialist at Pieper Memorial in Middletown where they suggested an MRI to try to determine the root cause of the paralysis. Upon reviewing the MRI, the Doctor found a herniated disc in his back and we all agreed that he would be a good candidate for surgery. On Wednesday, October 16th Andy had his surgery to repair his back. So far, the doctor is pleased with how the surgery went but Andy has a long way to go. As a small rescue, we cannot do what we do without the generosity of others. Andy's bill is currently at the high end of the estimate which is $7,000 for his MRI and surgery. He will spend 3-4 days in the hospital and then will require physical therapy to help him learn to walk again. We are committed to doing everything we can to get this happy little guy back all of his paws and striding towards his future. Every little bit helps us to be able to help him. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!
