I am lacing up my sneakers on August 24th, 2019 to run this particular signature event in Seward, Alaska, the Lost Lake Run. You might think that the beautiful scenery 16 miles trail up the mountains alone would be enough to motivate me to train for this event. But there is something else that has me inspired, I am taking on a challenge by making the run a part of fundraising campaign for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and raise donations. Let me tell you a little about the organization, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the founder of Lost Lake Run and a nonprofit donor-supported that raises money to seek the means to cure and control Cystic Fibrosis. Over the past 15 years, Lost Lake Run has raised over 2 millions for CF Foundation’s funding research and drug development in hopes to promote individualized treatments and finding a cure for this life-shortening disease. I have committed to raise $400.00 toward Cystic Fibrosis's goal of breaking $200,000 this year. I want to do my part to help reach that goal and you might think it's odd, given the current economic conditions, to ask you to also make a financial contribution at this time. But I believe, in days like these, extending a helping hand to Charitable Causes like this one, make us connect to true abundance. Please consider joining me as we invest in the lives of these people with cystic fibrosis; all donations are 100% tax deductible. So- where to start? Now, your part is easy-- all you need to do is commit to sponsoring me by making a contribution online with CrowdRise that will direct the donations to CF Foundation, so click away the "DONATE" button on the right column on my fundraising page. My part is a little tougher, I've committed to the fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by completing the 16 miles with a peak elevation of 2,100 feet but I will be especially motivated by the excitement of knowing that it will benefit such a worthy cause. Thanks in advance for your thoughtfulness and generosity! For more information on Lost Lake Run and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, please visit: www.lostlakerun.com
