Charlie was rescued from terrible conditions. His story inspired the creation of a dog rescue, of course it was named after him and his mission, which is to Rescue Charlie's Friends.
We are reaching out to you today to ask for your help in keeping Charlie’s memory alive by raising funds for our own rescue building. Charlie died suddenly at only nine years old. Please help his dream live on.
Charlie was an inspiration for all of us, humans and dogs. He saved hundreds of dogs and maybe some humans too in his years working with Rescue Charlie's Friends. He saw all the dogs passing through and we think he knew he was doing something wonderful.
We are raising $300,000 so we can either buy or build a building. It is Charlie’s dream and ours to rescue every dog in need, and give them the loving home they deserve.
Rescue Charlie’s Friends has saved more and more dogs every year. Many are from desperate, horrible conditions or were abused, neglected, abandoned or from high kill shelters. We rescue puppies, adults, seniors, pregnant and even hospice dogs. These are Charlie’s Friends and these are the dogs we focus on.
Because of this growing need, the time has come to have our very own building so we can have an even greater impact and save more dogs like Charlie. We need a building to receive transports indoors (out of the weather) and for adoption, fund raising and other rescue events. Rescue Charlie‘s Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation licensed in the state of Maine for the Importation of Dogs for Adoption and as a Dog Shelter. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
