Hi, this is Alix. I'm a NP at Seattle Children's Hospital. I take care of children with sickle cell disease, a genetic disorder of the red blood cells that causes progressive organ damage and intermittent severe pain. Make-A-Wish offers opportunities for children with serious illnesses to have a dream come true! Just a week ago I was talking to a 6 year old about her upcoming wish and she said "everytime I think about it I get SO happy!" A year ago I joined the board of trustees in an effort to give back to this organization that has changed the lives of my patients. Help us raise funds so they can continue to serve children in Alaska and Washington.
