Let's fix our roads this summer! If we can raise $2000 for Back Road and Cave/Arroyo Crossing by May 1, the MLA will kick in $2000 in matching funds, and this will be added to the $3350 already raised over the last few years. Donate here or via check to make it happen - and read the backstory to learn more below.
In 2013, Madrid was hit with a massive flood that wiped out our roads. The community came together with the MCP and MLA and raised approximately $23,000 to fix two of the hardest hit roads: Back Road and Cave Road (specifically at Arroyo Crossing).
In 2015, a road maintenance fund was established with the MCP's help to allow us to fix the roads again in five years. Five years have passed and this summer, we hope to do a major maintenance project on these two roads again.
The Madrid Landowner's Association has generously voted to provide a $2000 matching gift for the first $2000 raised toward the roads project. Note that these funds will be added to the $3350 already raised online via our legacy Crowdrise campaign, which you can find here: https://charity.gofundme.com/roadmaintenancefund/fundraiser/carolcarpenter

All funds donated here are under the Madrid Cultural Projects 501c3 and are tax-deductible. Note that a servicing fee will be taken out of them by this fundraising platform and the MCP.
If you prefer to avoid this platform's fee, you can send a check made out to the Madrid Cultural Projects. Mail to Carol Carpenter at 5 Kemp Road / Madrid 87010. Write "roads fund" in the notation of the check and your donation will be entered on this fundraising page alongside other donors. Thank you!
