**TDLR: Please help me support Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, a non-profit that provides youth development programming to underserved youth throughout New York City. Our support now is critical, as COVID-19 is disproportionately impacting low-income communities. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
We are so appreciative of your support!
Hoping you all are staying safe, happy, and healthy. As many of you know, I support and volunteer for the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, a NYC based non-profit that provides afterschool services and summer youth development programs for underserved youth within NYC. Madison’s five clubhouses located in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Harlem provide a safe, stable, and positive place for children ages 6 to 18. Here, they receive academic guidance and emotional support, build trusting relationships with positive mentors, cultivate their interests, and build a second home where they are encouraged to thrive.
Although the Clubhouse doors are closed, Madison has been using Virtual Afterschool Programming (VAP) to continue supporting the youth. While COVID-19 has brought incredible challenges to NYC and worldwide, Madison has continued to be a beacon of support and opportunity for all of the young people who rely on the clubhouses.
As Madison’s programming continues to evolve during this time, Madison Council is committed to responding to this crisis by raising $20,000 to further support the clubhouses’ response efforts. My personal goal is to raise $1,000 to contribute as well.
How can you help? A donation of any size will have an impact and will be appreciated!
Thank you so much in advance, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! We are so appreciative of your support!
