Macie loves kids, helping around the house, hanging out with friends, golfing, four wheeler riding and just being outdoors. But most importantly she loves God and her family.
Macie at a young age experienced major trauma which changed her life. Her innocence was lost at a very young age and has a hard time dealing with that as she has grown older. We have been to numerous counselors over the past several years, they all have helped for a while, then we reach a point where it seems we kinda stagnate.
So we feel we have reached a point that she needs more extensive counseling, so she can face those demons that haunt her and flare up her PTSD.
We searched for mental hospitals, counselors and psychologists. So as I googled I came across House of Hope. House of Hope Kansas City is affiliated with the National House of Hope and uses a proven model, which has produced a high rate of completion nationwide. Their mission is to provide a parent-interactive, residential treatment home for girls 12-18 years old, with the ultimate goal of family restoration. Focusing on the family is what makes House of Hope different and successful. They work with teens and parents to restore family relationships through a Christian counseling program. I believe in my heart that this is the best place for her to recover. When we entered House of Hope I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Which was very comforting. I know that it is possible to turn tragedy into triumph. God can heal her.

Financial:
The House of Hope program averages between 12-14 months. The monthly tuition is $2,960. This includes housing, counseling, and education at Hope Academy. With scholarship funding, a portion of the overall cost could be reduced. We aren’t sure if we will qualify at this point, or how long she will be enrolled there. The total balance for her to attend for 6 months will be $18,000, that’s not counting if she’s there any longer. We cannot do this alone. We don’t like to ask for financial help or any kind of help for that matter. But we do feel this is the place Macie needs to be.
God never promised it would be easy. He never said that our days would be open and filled with light and love. That we'd never experience loss, or failure or pain. He never said that things would always go our way, that we would always know where to go, that our road would be smoothly paved and bump free.
But what He did promise was that He would be forever standing by our side, forever carrying us through the tough patches, forever arms out stretched leaning towards in. What He did say was that in every season of brokenness, He would bring us hope, strength and truth.
I am specifically asking for your prayers for her and our family as its not going to be easy. If you feel led to donate that would be greatly appreciated as we can't afford this alone. But I do believe God will provide as he always has. Thanks for the prayers and emotional support.
God Bless each of you!!
Please share so we can get as much support as possible. Thank you!
