Hi, my name is Amy Caterina and over 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with stage III cancer. It was a scary time and I am fortunate that I survived! However, as a result of the cancer and the treatments used to eradicate it, I developed lymphedema, a chronic, progressive disease for which there is no cure. There is also not a lot of insurance coverage because there is a gap in the Medicare coding for compression garments which are the first line of defense against the progressive swelling that occurs. The Lymphedema Treatment Act is a short bill (HR 1948) that is designed to correct the coding. I need your support in raising money to support the passage of the bill. This fundraising effort has a $50,000 match through April 2019 through the nonprofit Lymphedema Advocacy Group.
