At 10 months old our daughter, Grace, was diagnosed with a rare heart condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart). Since her heart is enlarged it does not pump as efficiently at it should. She is currently 2 1/2 years old and takes medicine twice a day to help with her condition. She visits her cardiologist twice a year to check and make sure her medication is working.
Our best friend Lupa is running the Chicago Marathon to help fund the research that will find a cure for this rare heart condition. Please consider making a donation towards this wonderful charity that allows for this to happen! CCF works closely with physicians and families to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for children affected with this condition.
