In 2011, Prodigy Camp Founder Rick Stevenson discovered 12 year old Luciano on the streets of Chile while filming The 5000 Days Project movie featuring Sam Nelson. Anxious to become Chile’s first 5000 Days Project kid, Luciano grew into his adolescence on camera until he was suddenly struck by tragedy—the sort of tragedy that might reduce a lesser person to begging on the streets.
In the face of this adversity and with the help of the Prodigy Camp, Luciano’s story was crafted into a film which attracted hundreds of supporters who in turn, gave him the tools to change in life. Over the last decade, Luciano has done his supporters proud by becoming a para-olympic champion and a national icon. He has not only achieved this through his sheer brilliance but has inspired numerous others.
Sadly, however, the pandemic has wiped away all forms of sponsor as the para-Olympics approach. Take four minutes here to witness the power of Prodigy Camp storytelling and see if you feel inspired to help.
