Recently my mother passed away from Pancreatic cancer. Like so many others I had no idea how deadly Pancreatic cancer was. My mom did not survive a year past her diagnosis and the majority of those diagnosed do not survive past a year of diagnosis. This disease kills more people in the United States than breast cancer. I am running the San Francisco Marathon to help raise money and awareness for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. This amazing organization is attempting to produce better outcomes and survival rates for those diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.
All your donations will go directly towards the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. My mom and I always liked to walk together, while we never walked 26.2 miles she always pushed me to great things. So in honor of my mother, I am pushing myself to get back into running and run the San Francisco Marathon.
