Where would you be without technology?

Thank you! In just two weeks, over 150 people from the LSA community came together and raised over $18,000 for the LSA Laptop Program. Thanks to you, we'll be able to impact the lives of more incoming students next year through this program. If you missed the deadline, don't worry. The fund is still open for donations on our U-M online giving site, and there are still more students in need of laptops next year!

Low-income LSA students can’t always afford a reliable laptop, but the reality is they can’t afford to go without one.

To address the digital divide among undergraduates, LSA started the Laptop Program. Low-income students are offered a free MacBook Air, with essential software, to use throughout their undergraduate years.

Almost one-third of the incoming class is eligible for the program, yet we don't have enough laptops to fulfill the need. We are turning to our generous alumni and friends to help close the gap with a special two-week campaign.

Make a gift today and help us bridge the digital divide! From now until May 20, all donations to the LSA Laptop Program will be matched 1:1.

Matching dollars are available thanks to a generous anonymous donation.

"I was so grateful to be offered a laptop through this amazing program. I'm not sure what I'd do without it!" - Spencer, LSA Laptop Recipient

Please note that your gift will be processed and receipted through the PayPal Giving Fund. If you'd like to make a gift through the U-M giving site you can do that here. Want to send a check or make a gift of securities? Email Michael Reed (LSA Digital Fundraiser) at for more information.
