Hello Family and Friends!
As most of you know, I'm in my second year of vet school at St. George's University, pursuing my dream of becoming a veterinarian all while enjoying my island life in Grenada! This summer, I will be heading to South Dakota, visiting Lower Brule and Pine Ridge Reservations to provide free veterinary care to communities that desperately need it. I am joining Rural Area Veterinary Services (RAVS) in order to do so. Through their free clinic, we will be able to perform physical exams, life- saving surgeries, spays and neuters and provide vaccinations to the animals who do not have access to veterinary care without our help.
While providing this care, our volunteers and staff will be educating the families on animal care and public health, helping to make the community a better place for the animals and the people of Lower Brule and Pine Ridge. In order for us to provide quality care for no cost, we rely on the generous donations from family and friends. Please consider donating to this amazing clinic in order to help RAVS continue their life-saving work and to help me get one of the most valuable veterinary learning experiences!
Here are some examples of what your contribution goes toward:
$10: Vaccine for dog/cat
$25: Treat a dog with tick-borne illness
$35: Drugs/surgical materials to spay/neuter dog/cat
$75: Life-saving parvo virus treatment for a puppy
$100: Spay/neuter, vaccines, prevention for dog/cat
$250: Emergency surgery and aftercare for dog/cat
Thank you :)
