Loving One By One is an NGO based justboutside of Kampala, Uganda. For 15 years we have been providing free schooling and medical clinics for the very poor. A few years back we discovered that we had people coming to our gates on a daily basis with children sick children. Not being doctors ourselves, we saw the need for some type of medical clinic to help the poorest of the poor. So two years ago, we built a 6,000 square foot medical clinic which now has a birthing room and a smal surgery room for cesarian sections and other minor surgeries. Along with the school that we built in 2016, we have now discovered that we have quickly out grown our facilities and now need to purchase additional land.
It has long been our desire to purchase 10 acres that run parallel to our current property. This land has become avalable to us at a last minute notice. We were offered the property for $175,000, but while we were trying to raise the funding, the owener had it repossesed by the bank who sold it to a developer who wants to divide it into plots to sell houses on. He has however given us an option to pruchase the land for $195,000, however we only have 30 days to raise the funding for the property. We do have the $35,000 deposit to pay him, which will allow us time to raise thebalance. After the 30 days, the price goes up another $10,000.
Loving One By One has been extremely frugal with donatons in the past and have been able to build a school and the clinic along with putting 65 kids through school, all who are not in college or trade school. The current school was build for the new batch of village children who can afford and schooling at all. We have approximately 50 plus kindergardeners and 1st graders in our school. We also have a training training school for pastors with 45 graduates in our first two year course.
Purchasing this land is a must for us to grow and it will also allow us to build shops by the road where we will hire the single mothers to bake bread and sew (in our tailioring school) forthe local community. We pray that you will consider supporting this mission, we aren't giving a hand out, we are giving a hand up!
