HELP US PROVIDE A LOVING TEMPORARY HOME TO FAMILIES UNDERGOING KIDNEY TRANSPLANT IN TEXAS.
If you’re reading this, you are probably a person with a heart of compassion. We invite you to join our circle of love by supporting people going through dialysis or awaiting a kidney transplant due to renal failure.
In my family, being a part of a circle of love between a mother and her family has special meaning.
In 2011, I lost my sister Tara to a massive heart attack. The loss was devastating to all of us and left Tara’s five children without their mom and her husband without his wife.
Out of the ashes of this terrible family tragedy came an opportunity to be reborn and to give in abundant love: In the wake of my sister's sudden death, our family agreed to donate several healthy organs to save the lives of others.
One of those organs -- a healthy kidney -- saved her own mother’s life. Our mom, who was being kept alive with dialysis treatments after renal failure, is now alive and well nine (9) years later because of my beautiful sister Tara’s loving sacrifice.
Our story of tragedy and rebirth formed the seed of an idea: What if we could widen our family’s circle of love by saving the lives of other people suffering from kidney failure? Our answer was simple: We decided to form a nonprofit organization to provide FREE transportation to and from visits for dialysis treatments and other kidney-related medical appointments.
We also decided to expand our services by building a home that will provide FREE lodging for up to two (2) weeks for transplant patients’ families. The home we open will be called My Daughter’s House in honor of my sister Tara Lynette Ceaser.
We cannot open the doors of this house of healing and love without the support of compassionate people everywhere. To get our nonprofit organization off the ground, we aim to raise $100,000 to purchase our first van and build My Daughter’s House for transplant patients’ families.
You can help us bring this dream to life and make a huge impact on lives by making a donation of any size to this campaign. We are happy to recognize our generous donors on our social media pages and website in appreciation for your gift. All donations to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization are tax deductible.*
If you care about helping people experiencing renal failure but can’t afford to donate right now, you can still help by sharing this fundraiser on your social media pages. You can also support our cause by ordering a Mother’s Dialysis Care T-shirt from our online store at https://www.customink.com/fundraising/mothersdialysiscare or COVID-19 face mask for a dialysis or kidney transplant patient from our online store at https://www.customink.com/fundraising/mothers-dialysis-care-masks. When your T-shirt arrives in the mail, be sure to take a photo wearing your new shirt, post it to your social media pages, and tag us. However, with every mask you purchase it will be donated to dialysis and kidney transplant patients nationwide.
Whatever ways you choose to support this cause, I thank you in advance for joining our Circle of Love by supporting our work to extend support to renal patients! I will end our story with these words of inspiring love from 1 John 3:17-18: “But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.”
Forever grateful for your support,
Teria M. Johnson
