For the past 4 years, I have participated in the Lost Lake Run, a run that was started to raise funds to fight for the cure for Cystic Fibriosis.
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. Many different factors, such as age of diagnosis, can affect an individual's health and the course of the disease. It is complex and the types & severity of symptoms can differ widely from person to person. With nearly more than 30,000 people living with cystic fibrosis (70,000 worldwide) and approximately 1,000 new cases of CF are diagnosed each year, research is vitally important to the diagnosis and treatment of CF.
My goal for this year is to run/hike the entire 16 miles. I appreciate any amount of support for this great cause.
