The Little Lion Foundation saves neonatal, orphaned kittens from high kill shelters in and around Long Beach, Ca.We are excited to announce that we are opening the very first kitten nursery in Long Beach! This project, better known as "Long Beach Little Paws Project", is to help make Long Beach a No Kill city in partnership with Helen Sanders CatPAWS and City of Long Beach Animal Care Services. Catpaws has just signed the lease for a building and now it's time to raise the funds we need to provide the best care possible for these tiny babies. As we are starting from scratch we will need to purchase all needed supplies before opening. From basic set up supplies to daily care and cleaning necessities to emergency supplies for our vulerable wee ones, we need to stock up on it all. Basic set up supplies include: easy to sanitize tables, chairs, kennels/housing units, washer, dryer, etc. Daily care supplies include: KMR, bottle kits, miracle nipples, heat discs, litter, canned food, kibble, potty pads, blankets, baby wipes, toys, and Snuggle Kitties for comfort. Daily cleaning supplies include: Rescue/Accel cleaner (lots of it. It is the only cleaning supply that kills fatal viruses), paper towels, spray bottles, trash bags, gloves, disposable gowns, trash bins, organic laundry detergent, etc. Emergency/Medical supplies include: Incubator, antibiotics, subcutaneous fluids, vitamins, supplements, GI medications, syringes of all sizes, needles, microscope, scope slides and any other treatments that may arise. This nursery will be a BIG step toward making Long Beach a No Kill city as the underage kittens are still being euthanized by the hundreds at the shelter and we can't make this happen without your support.
