At the end of a dirt road in a small rural village in Tanzania live the 17 children of the Enyorata Orphanage. Seven amazing men and women cook, care for, and teach these cuties from morning till night, working pretty much non-stop (as we all know parents do), and loving each child as if they were their own. The children of Enyorata love to play, sing, and dance in addition to their daily English immersion schooling.
This spring, we were scheduled to hold a Casino Night as our annual spring fundraiser. Unfortunately, the pandemic prevented us from doing so, but that doesn't mean the bills aren't due. We have children and employees to feed, a cow and chickens to care for, and rent to pay, among many operational expenses.
In addition, as many of you know, Enyorata was lucky enough to receive our own land from a generous donor. So far, the kitchen, food storeroom, and a small office have been complete. Money from this fundraiser will go towards building a dormitory building for the children, along with showers and bathrooms. We would love to have those buildings finished by this fall so that everyone can move into their permanent home.
