We are inaugural members of the Youth Leadership Board for a special cause, Harlem Lacrosse LA. This organization was founded as a 501(C)(3) non-profit in August of 2014 with the goal of creating meaningful lacrosse experiences for inner-city children in Los Angeles. The effort has greatly expanded since its founding, as more and more kids have had the opportunity to experience the various play-days, practices, tournaments, and camps. Harlem Lacrosse offers an escape for children affected by lower living conditions, and it is our goal to teach them the character traits and skills to help them succeed in all facets of life.
There is a need for financial aid to provide these kids with the necessary equipment and resources to play lacrosse. Equipment provides kids with shorts, pinnies, balls, pads, sticks, eye masks, mouthguards etc. to play, and more is always needed and appreciated. Harlem Lacrosse also provides the unique opportunity for kids to bus to practice, which greatly enhances our range of participants. Overall, our student leaders are focused on fundraising for Equipment, Transporation, Coaches and Coach Training, PE Outreach, After-School Programming, Travel Teams, Winter Enrichments and Overnight and Day Camps.
We ask that you please consider making a donation in support of Harlem Lacrosse through this link. Your generosity will enable us to continue growing the organization and providing inner-city youths with this enriching experience. Thank you for supporting this important cause and for providing children in Los Angeles’ most troubled areas with hope for a brighter future and the opportunity to play the great game of lacrosse.
